Presentations at the Kyoto University International Symposium held in Bogor, Indonesia on December 2, 2025 (Prof. Saizen, Samsul)
At the Kyoto University International Symposium held at IPB University in Indonesia, Professor Saizen gave a keynote speech and first-year master's student Samsul gave a poster presentation.

At IPB University, large posters about the symposium were put up in many places, and everyone laughed out loud, saying, "Oh, I'm in the poster!"

Prof. Saizen used population data to show that Southeast Asia countries need to prepare for the declining population, and pointed out that the responses of Japan and South Korea to population decline can serve as a reference, both as good and bad examples. He also pointed out the need for joint research on declining population societies with partnership universities in Southeast Asian countries.

This is a poster presented by Samsul. He showed the results of a simulation of carbon storage in mangrove forests in Bangka Belitung, Indonesia.

This is a group photo. Total more than 300 researchers participated, including those who attended online.

A group photo from the Study Tour held the following day (December 3rd) at the Bogor Botanical Gardens. Several LRP graduates are in the photo (Emma-sensei, Yuri, and Salsi). Current students Chen and Nisa are also in the photo.
