Participation in the CRECET 20th Anniversary Symposium at Tsinghua University (Prof. Saizen, Nov. 14-15, 2025)

Prof. Saizen participated in a symposium celebrating the 20th anniversary of the founding of CRECET (Cooperative Research and Education Center for Environmental Technology) held at Tsinghua University in Shenzhen, China.

On November 14th, we toured a water purification facility in Shenzhen and TENCENT, one of China's three largest IT companies. In Shenzhen, the water purification facility, which utilizes cutting-edge technology, is located on two basement floors. The basement floor is a facility for tours, and above ground is an environmentally friendly park that serves as a place of relaxation for local residents.

Afterwards, we walked around a park in the city, where there were many drones flying in the air, delivering food.

On November 15th, after touring laboratories at Tsinghua University, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to the university, followed by a symposium commemorating the 20th anniversary of the program. Professor Saizen gave an oral presentation introducing the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies and its relationship with CRECET.
